Dr. Steven Pong is an industrial designer and researcher whose work integrates physical computing, data visualization, textiles, and accessibility-focused design. With a background in healthcare and assistive technologies, Steven explores how material practices, from pattern-making to interactive textiles, can support novel forms of engagement, communication, and care.
Millie Yates is designer, researcher, and digital design educator. Her research explores the intersection of fashion, sustainability, and technology, including the role virtual design can play in enacting more accessible and environmentally-conscious fashion futures. She holds an MA in Fashion Studies and a BDes in Fashion Design from Toronto Metropolitan University. Millie has previously worked as a Senior Fashion designer for two major Canadian womenswear brands. She has managed the design and development of cut and sew knitwear, fleece, active-wear, and soft wovens categories, and has extensive experience with collection design, technical design, and product development.
