Dr. Mojgan Hodaie is staff neurosurgeon at the Toronto Western Hospital, University Health Network, and Professor in the Department of Surgery, University of Toronto. In Her subspecialty training and practice is in the field of Stereotactic and Functional Neurosurgery and Gamma Knife Radiosurgery, where she serves as the Surgical co-Director of the Joey and Toby Tanenbaum Family Gamma Knife Centre at the Toronto Western Hospital.  Dr. Hodaie is a scientist and an educator. Dr. Hodaie’s scientific research focuses primarily on advanced methods of MRI imaging in functional neurosurgery, with a special focus in neuropathic pain.  She has published key papers focusing on microstructural changes in the severe neuropathic pain condition of trigeminal neuralgia, methods of small fiber tractography and structural neuroanatomical changes in the central nervous system gray and white matter in facial neuropathic pain. Dr. Hodaie is part of the largest neuromodulation group in Canada, with strong academic interest in the study of disorders such as Parkinson's disease and essential tremor using deep brain stimulation.
